Welcome to the Bent Northrop Memorial Library 2025 Summer Reading Program for Kids, Teens, and Adults! June 17th to August 8th
Join us for this fun and free series of activities and events designed to prevent the "summer slide" and encourage everyone ages 4 - 104 to read during the summer.
The 2025 national theme, "Color Our World", is all about art and creativity.
In addition to our weekly events, we will have amazing raffle prizes, a huge sticker mosaic, guessing jars, weekly challenges, and more!
We are sponsored by the Friends of BNML, the Vermont Department of Libraries, the Parent Child Center, and the Vermont Humanities Council.
Kids ages 4-12 set goals and use sticker charts. They earn 3 raffle tickets for meeting their goal, can earn 1 ticket per week for checking out books, and 1 ticket for each program attended. Kids will get schedules and reading records sent home through the school or can get them at the library.
Teens (13+) and adults will earn 1 ticket for each book read/listened to (2 graphic novels = 1 traditional book), 1 per week for visiting, 1 for each program attended, and 1 for each time they volunteer at a program.
Everyone can sign up at the Library beginning 6/17 or online here.
A few events require registration.
