Know yourSELF!
Throughout the next few months, girls in grade K-5 have a great chance to participate in S.E.L.F., a new program that meets after school from 3 – 4pm in four unique sessions. During each session, girls will learn about a new skill to assist them in becoming a well-rounded individual. The session will begin with conversation with a specific speaker knowledgeable of one of the four topics: Service, Environment, Leadership and Fitness. Related activities or experiences will follow the conversation. Girls will have a chance to ask questions at any point and snacks will be provided. Free, but limited to 12 girls each class.
SELF was the brainstorm of Chloe Johnson, a sophomore at BFA St. Albans. Many young girls in Fairfield know Chloe through the countless hours she spends at The Ballet School dancing and teaching. Many have seen her perform with the Northern Vermont Ballet Company. However, many may not know that she holds the title Miss Northern Vermont Outstanding Teen and is on her way to compete statewide for the title Miss Vermont Outstanding Teen! Chloe is a dedicated student, confident leader, and compassionate community member who personally believes in the four pillars of SELF: Service, Environment, Leadership and Fitness. This project has been completely designed and implemented by Chloe, with a tad of administrative support from BNML.
Please note the following:
